David Neil Sawyer
April 6, 1948 - January 6, 2010
David Neil Sawyer of Waco passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 9, at Waco Memorial Park with Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey.
David was born April 6, 1948 in Waco, TX to Earl and Mary Sawyer. He retired from Yellow Freight at age 55 and enjoyed many trips with friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David Wayne Sawyer and a sister, Marie Sawyer.
He is survived by his daughter, Misty Gammel and husband, Jeff; two grandchildren, Wesley Sawyer and Chyna Sawyer; two sisters, Eleanor Rogers and husband, Hugh; Linda Cochrane and husband, Gene; and niece, nephews and many special friends.
His family would like to acknowledge a special thanks to Dr. Coleman and the staff at Providence Hospital.
