Linda Fae Lowe
October 9, 1925 - July 22, 2010

Linda Fae Lowe, 84 years of age, entered into her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 22, 2010 in Lakewood, Colorado. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 26, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery, Ross Texas. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, July 25, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. The family will be at the home of Larry Carothers, brother of Harry.

Fae was born October 9, 1925 in Waco, Texas, to James Emmitt and Myrtle Asbury Gassaway. Mrs. Lowe attended Elm Mott and LaVega Schools and lived in the Waco area until moving to Littleton, Colorado in 2006. She was a member of Grace Temple Baptist Church for over 45 years, where she taught Sunday school, served on numerous committees and sang in the choir.

She retired from the City of Waco Tax Office after 27 years. She was elevated to the position of Tax Assessor and Collector in 1981, retiring in 1988.

Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Linda; sisters, Hazel Brenner and Helen Williams; and a brother, Loyce Gassaway.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Carothers and husband, Harry, of Littleton, CO; grandsons, Michael Carothers and wife, Rhoda, of Oklahoma City, OK; and Rob Carothers of Denver, CO; great-grandsons, Jackson and Noah Carothers of Oklahoma City; and several nieces and nephews.
