Dear Tom, Charlotte, and Carolyn-
Lou was one of my very favorite people. I loved her big personality that Carolyn described so perfectly on Friday, and I thoroughly enjoyed all of my time with her. I will never forget the gracious and generous manner in which she accepted me into the lovely Collins home and life during law school and included me as family in everything from that point forward. I am blessed to have known her and am a better person for it. I will miss her. All my love, Rosemary

When I think of Lou I remember a Sunday afternoon many years ago when three beautiful ladies appeared at my home to ask that I become the faculty sponsor for a new sorority that had been invited to Baylor--Zeta Tau Alpha. My relationship with Lou grew from borrowing a hoop skirt to wear to a ZTA function to having her support the collegiate group as a valued alumn We always knew that Lou was there for us, from serving as a sage advisor to me to making sandwiches supporting the young women through recruiting efforts.
What a wonderful example Lou provided to the group and to me as I grew in understanding the wonderful relationship that was to be with ZTA alumae through the years.
She was a true dear lady!

Tom and family,
I was so sorry to hear of Lou's passing, but I know she is out of pain and kicking up her heels with our Heavenly Father. I have the fondest of memories of Lou at East Terrace, Brazos River Festival, HWF Board, and working with her and Frances Rountree to start the BU Zeta chapter. Lou and I were unstoppable when we had a project! Oh how we could laugh at ourselves. She taught me so much about being a mother too. I shall remember her so well as she was in those days. I will keep you all in my prayers. Much love to all.

Lou was my big sister in Zeta at the University of Texas and took me under her wing, helping me through that first year at college. I remember her as a caring and fun person. I was delighted to reconnect through our children. Carolyn, you are right, your mother was a great lady.
